PM Citizens

Our vision is to include performance management guidance and resources for individual districts or multi-district projects that are working on performance management projects. Below are the districts that are currently participating in the STTE project. If your district or project is interested in receiving additional information about this project or how to become a PM Citizen, click here to contact us.

Statewide Tools for Teaching Excellence (STTE) Project (Texas)
Funded by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF), the STTE project is designed to demonstrate the effectiveness of using a system of performance management indicators to identify opportunities for improvement, select appropriate interventions and monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the interventions. STTE is an approach to performance management that empowers districts to optimize the use of resources to achieve sustainable strategic action, resulting in significant improvements in student achievement and district capacity to realize continued “return on interventions”.

Participating districts have received grant funds from MSDF and the Texas Education Agency (TEA), as well as technical assistance from Edvance Research, Inc. to enable them to implement performance management. The goal is to apply a systematic process of data analysis and intervention planning that positively impacts students and schools and that becomes part of the everyday culture of the school system.
