Welcome to PM Village

Education professionals are committed to improving their professional practice. PM Village is a  “community of practice” that brings together school leaders, district administrators, teachers and education researchers to create a professional learning center about managing performance – of our schools, of our students and of ourselves.  As citizens of PM Village, we find ways to connect with our colleagues, learn from each other, and share our experience.  From evidence-based practice, we find new ways to approach old problems, as we learn to become “action researchers”.

So what is performance management?

It’s a new way of using data to drive improvement. It’s a way to connect action to outcomes. And more importantly, it’s a way to really “close the loop” in the continuous improvement process to get the most out of your investment of time and resources.
